The business world is ever-changing. To keep pace with the latest industry trends and stand out to employers, an advanced or post-master's certificate is an easy and efficient way to update your skills and knowledge and to acquire new specializations.

Certificate requirements

The College of Business at Clayton State University offers advanced certificates and post-master's certificates. Students will be required to complete 12 credit hours to obtain a certificate. These credits may not include any graduate courses previously taken.

Students are expected to observe School of Graduate Studies and University Graduate Rules, Regulations and Academic Policies. Students are expected to maintain Good Academic Standing which is defined as a minimum institutional graduate GPA of 3.0

Students are considered to be non-degree seeking, so financial aid is not available.

Digital Marketing, Advanced Certificate

The Advanced Certificate in Digital Marketing provides specialized training in the digital marketing field. Applicants must have already completed a bachelor's degree in a business discipline.

Supply Chain Management, Advanced Certificate

The Advanced Certificate in Supply Chain Management provides students with practical and relevant skills required to understand the value of work-flow processes to streamline the delivery of goods and services. Clayton State’s proximity to the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and the Savannah Port, gives students invaluable access to industry leaders, while pursuing rewarding careers. Applicants must have completed a bachelor's degree in a business discipline.

Human Resource Leadership, Post-Master's Certificate

The Post-Master's Certificate in Human Resource Leadership prepares students to be an effective HR leader in areas such as employee training, employee career development, performance management and development, coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and high potential identification. Applicants must have already completed an MBA degree or Master of Science degree in a business discipline.

International Business, Post-Master's Certificate

The Post-Master's Certificate in International Business provides students an understanding of business in a global context. Students will gain knowledge in global logistics, cross-cultural negotiating, and global human resources. Students also have the opportunity to participate in study abroad. Applicants must have already completed an MBA degree or Master of Science degree in a business discipline.

Admissions

Beginning the application process for a certificate is simple.

  • Graduate Application
  • $50 application fee
  • One official transcript from previous BBA, MBA or Masters in a business discipline program (showing degree awarded)

Application deadlines

There are five eight-week terms giving applicants flexibility in their start date for the program.

Fall

Term 1: July 15

Term 2: September 1

Spring

Term 1: December 9

Term 2: February 1

Summer

Term 1: April 15
