
Kaplan Nursing Admissions Test
Applicants to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing basic licensure program are required to complete the Kaplan Nursing Admission Test (KNAT) at Clayton State University.
To correspond with the nursing application period, the KNAT is offered every January-February for Fall applicants and August-September for Spring applicants. Applicants are permitted one attempt per application period. Scores are valid for one year/two application periods. Transfer scores will not be accepted.

The Kaplan Nursing Admission Test (KNAT) is a tool to determine if students have the academic skills necessary to perform effectively in a school of nursing. It is a 91-question, online, multiple-choice test that evaluates the basic reading, math, writing, and science skills of students seeking entry into a nursing program leading to licensure as a Registered Nurse.

Preparation
The KNAT is a crucial component in your nursing application. Therefore, you should prepare thoroughly for the exam. The recommended preparatory text is the current edition of Kaplan Nursing School Entrance Exams. Please note the text is for all nursing entrance exams and includes more information than is on the KNAT.
Registration
Register and pay the $20.00 testing fee at the Testing Center Store at https://secure.touchnet.com/C20568_ustores/web/store_main.jsp?STOREID=2&SINGLESTORE=true.
Applicants who feel unwell on test date are strongly recommended to reschedule (if you leave before completion, it will count as one attempt.

Location
Report to the Testing Center located at CSU-East, 121 Arbor Hall, 5823 Trammell Road, Morrow, Georgia, 30260. Arrive twenty-minutes early for check-in. Late arrivals will not be permitted. For entry, you must bring an official photo ID that includes a signature (driver’s license or passport). Cell phones, smart watches and all other electronic or text devices are prohibited. Four-function calculators will be provided by the Testing Center; do not bring your own calculator. Food and drinks may not be brought inside the testing room. No one may test in hats, hoods or sunglasses. Children are not permitted in the testing labs. Unaccompanied children are not permitted anywhere in the building or lobby areas.
Results
You will receive an official grade report immediately upon completion and a copy will be sent to Clayton State's School of Nursing. KNAT results are evaluated with other critical components in a competitive admission process. Minimum overall and section scores required for eligibility are subject to change; check this website for updates.
