MailChimp Scholars
Mailchimp, the world’s largest marketing automation platform, is partnering with the College of Information and Mathematical Sciences at Clayton State University to make dreams real for students who aspire to high demand careers in computer science, information technology and mathematics.
The Mailchimp scholarships will provide support during the 2020-2021 academic year to Clayton State students whose major is Computer Science, Information Technology or Mathematics. Ten or more $5000 scholarships will be available to qualified candidates who start attending Clayton State in Fall 2020*.
Opportunities to be engaged with Mailchimp professionals in security, infrastructure, software development, test engineering & quality assurance, and data analytics are an added bonus. During the year, you may be asked to participate in networking events and hear some outstanding presentations from our colleagues at Mailchimp. Some Clayton State alumni, featured in the video above, have had internships at Mailchimp and one has been hired as a full-time employee there. They participated in another Mailchimp - Clayton State program called Launchpad Academy--it is a leadership academy that brings Clayton State students to the Mailchimp headquarters at Ponce City Market in Atlanta to work with and learn from the excellent Launchpad instructors. If you continue in your CS, IT or Math major, you may have an opportunity to participate in the Launchpad Academy. Watch the video to get an idea of the many benefits that students had with Mailchimp and their experiences there.
The competitive Mailchimp scholarships are available to any incoming well-prepared freshman student who has declared as his/her major one of the following: Computer Science, Information Technology or Mathematics. In order to maintain the scholarship for both fall and spring semester, you must remain a major in in one of the listed fields above and maintain at least a 2.8 GPA.
