
Theatre
The theatre program allows students to pursue theatre studies in the context of a liberal arts education. It prepares students for careers in the professional theatre industry and furnishes them with the tools for creating new work and making a significant impact on Theatre in our region and beyond.
Program Outcomes
- Recognize and interpret subject matter and history of theatre: major works, issues, and movements.
- Demonstrate competent oral and written communication skills in one or more of the following area: acting, directing, playwriting, technical theatre.
- Assess and employ theatrical concepts in decision-making and critical esthetic judgment
- Recognize and demonstrate practical skills required in professional theatre settings
