The College of Arts & Sciences, comprised of six academic departments and the School of Education, offers courses in general education and programs in arts, education, humanities, interdisciplinary studies, and social and behavioral sciences.
Here, students learn in a supportive environment where dedicated faculty know them by name, encourage them to think creatively, and help them translate their interests into marketable skills. Through hands-on learning—including undergraduate research, creative activities, and internships—students develop adaptability, confidence, and creativity in critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills that employers value across a wide range of careers. Graduates work in industries including creative arts, entertainment, public and private education, government and public service, law, libraries, media, corporations, marketing, performing arts, publishing, healthcare, law enforcement, and broadcasting.
