Major Field Test/ACAT

The ETS Major Field Test (MFT) and the Area Concentration Achievement Test (ACAT) are comprehensive undergraduate outcomes assessments designed to measure the critical knowledge and understanding obtained by students in a major field of study. The Testing Center is located off the main campus at the East Entrance - Clayton State University. Our address is 5823 Trammell Road, Morrow, GA 30260 http://www.clayton.edu/maps/csueast. We're in Arbor Hall, Room 121.  Phone: (678) 466-4495.  MFTs will be administered online in the Testing Center normally in the Spring Semester.  Students planning to graduate may be required to test if their majors are listed below: Biology Business Chemistry Computer Science Criminal Justice Sociology

ACATs will be administered online in the Testing Center normally in the Spring Semester.  Students planning to graduate may be required to test if their majors are listed below: History Psychology

These tests evaluate students' ability to analyze and solve problems, to understand relationships, and to interpret material from their major field of study. These websites will provide more information: MFThttp://www.ets.org/mft/ and ACAThttp://www.collegeoutcomes.com/.

Students may bring four-function nongraphing calculators for these exams--or four-function calculators will be provided. Cell phones must be turned off during testing and may not be used as calculators.

Note to Faculty: Please plan to bring your group for testing during class time or at an arranged time. Email Sandra Starr, at sandrastarr@clayton.edu for scheduling. You will need to provide a roster of students, to come early to check in the students, and to stay to proctor your group.
