Guided Tours
The Clayton State Office of Admissions offers 60-minute walking tours led by current students and staff. It accommodates groups and is ideal for families, schools, and community organizations that meet the eligibility requirements described below.
To qualify for a guided large group tour, your group must meet all of the following:
- The group includes 6–45 total participants, including both students and chaperones.
- At least 90% of the group must be prospective college students.
- Groups that include elementary, middle-school, or other non-prospective students are not eligible for a guided tour and must request a self-guided visit.
- The group must provide at least one chaperone per 10 students.
- An Excel roster of all attending students must be submitted at least one week (7 days) before the scheduled tour date.
- If the roster is not received by the deadline, the tour will be canceled.
- Tours must be booked at least 14 business days in advance.
The following groups are required to complete a Self-Guided Tour Request:
- Groups of 46 or more participants (students + chaperones)
We are unable to accommodate guided tours for groups of this size.
- Groups without a majority of prospective students
This includes groups composed primarily of:
- Middle-school students
- Elementary-school students
- Mixed community groups without a clear majority of high-school prospective students
These groups must choose the self-guided tour option regardless of size.
If your group plans to eat on campus during any type of visit, you must contact Dining Services in advance to make arrangements.
