Welcome to the Fitness Center!
The Department of Recreation and Wellness (DRW) is responsible for the operation and management a 26,500 square foot Fitness Center located in the Student Activities Center.
All currently enrolled students receive a free membership paid for by student fees.
Memberships are available to employees, alumni, and the local community (limited membership). Fitness and Group X offerings provide students, faculty, and staff opportunities to remain physically fit and have fun at the same time.
We look forward to seeing you BEING ACTIVE!
New Student/Member Fitness Orientations
Fitness Orientations are FREE to students and members of the SAC.
The Recreation and Wellness Department offers all incoming freshmen and new transfer students SAC Fitness Center orientations.
Fitness center orientations are also offered by appointment, at least 24 hours in advance.
During orientations, a Fitness Assistant will guide participants through the facility answer questions about the exercise machines and free weights.
If unfamiliar with the machines, the Fitness Assistants will assist in setting them
up and teaching the proper use the equipment.
*Please note that fitness orientations are not lead by personal trainers and should
not be mistaken for personal training sessions.
Fitness Assistants will not provide workout plans, fitness assessments or nutrition
advice.
Please see personal training page for information on scheduling a fitness assessment or purchasing personal training
sessions.
