State Scholarships & Grants

The State of Georgia has several financial assistance programs available to Georgia residents. A student must meet state eligibility requirements to receive state aid. For more information please visit the Georgia Futures - HOPE & State Aid Programs website.

Georgia's Zell Miller Scholarship is available to Georgia residents who have demonstrated academic achievement. The scholarship provides money to assist students with the tuition cost of attending a Zell Miller Scholarship eligible college or university. For more information visit, Zell Miller Scholarship. 

Georgia's HOPE Scholarship is available to Georgia residents who have demonstrated academic achievement. The scholarship provides money to assist students with a portion of the tuition cost at a HOPE Scholarship eligible college or university. For more information visit, HOPE Scholarship.

The Georgia College Completion Grant (GCCG) Program provides grant aid to assist eligible students who are within at least 80% of credit requirements of their undergraduate degree and have an outstanding balance of current term direct charges such as tuition, fees, housing, and meals. The charges or fines incurred due to actions by a student such as parking tickets, library fines, or late fees are not considered direct charges for the purpose of this grant. The Georgia National Guard (GNG) Service Cancelable Loan (SCL) was established as an incentive for qualified men and women to join the Georgia National Guard and to retain skilled, productive citizens within the state. It is a student financial aid program that provides loans to be used towards the cost of tuition in an undergraduate or graduate program at an eligible postsecondary institution.  For more information visit, Georgia National Guard (GNG) Service Cancelable Loan (SCL).

Georgia HERO Scholarship program provides educational scholarship assistance to members of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reservists who served in combat zones, and the children and the spouses of such members of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reserves. The Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen (REACH) Scholarship is awarded to students that successfully participated in the REACH program in a Georgia Public school.  Students begin program participation in the 8th grade until high school graduation.  Students that complete the program are identified as a REACH scholar. The Georgia Public Safety Memorial (GPSM) Grant provides grant funds to the dependent children of Georgia Public Safety Officers  who were permanently disabled or killed in the line of duty. Funds may be used towards the cost of attendance at eligible colleges, universities or technical colleges in Georgia. For more information visit, Public Safety Memorial Grant.

District of Columbia Tuition Assistance Grant (DCTAG) provides two pathways for college-bound residents of the nation’s capital to receive financial assistance to attend schools outside of D.C.— one for those going to public institutions and the other for private.
