Clayton State University Salutes Its Graduating Class of 2025 at Fall Commencement
(December 4, 2025) - Clayton State University is proud to celebrate its graduating Class of 2025 at this year’s fall commencement.

The university will host three ceremonies in the Athletics Center: Friday, December 5, at 3 p.m., followed by two ceremonies on Saturday, December 6, at 9 a.m. and Noon. All ceremonies will take place on the university’s campus, located at 2000 Clayton State Blvd, Morrow, GA 30260.
Clayton State University President Dr. Georj Lewis will preside over the celebrations, joined by faculty, staff, families, and supporters. This year’s guest speakers include distinguished leaders Cade Joiner (Commencement on December 5 at 3:00 p.m.) Milton J. Little Jr. (Commencement on December 6 at 9:00 a.m.), and Sherrie Miller (Commencement on December 6 at Noon) along with graduating seniors Juan Angarita, English major and Peer Academic Mentor; Neonta Hayes, Business Administration major with a concentration in Supply Chain Management and 2025 Undergraduate Entrepreneur of the Year; and Ebony Swinton, first-generation college graduate and honors program leader, who will offer reflections and inspiration on behalf of the Class of 2025.
Cade Joiner founded Shred-X Secure Document Destruction, one year after earning a BBA in Marketing from the University of Georgia in 2001. Shred-X is one of the largest independent shredding companies in the Southeast and was named as one of the 100 fastest growing businesses in Georgia. Joiner regularly appears in the media discussing small business issues and has been featured on Fox News, CNN, and in the Wall Street Journal.
Joiner currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the USG Foundation. He is also a board member of the UGA Entrepreneurship Program, the UGA Athletic Association, the Georgia Research Alliance, and the University System of Georgia Board of Regents.
In 2018, Joiner Co-Chaired the Finance Committee for Gov. Brian Kemp and was also on the Executive Committee of the Kemp Inaugural. In early 2019, he was named the Chairman of the Georgians First Commission. The commission focused its efforts on making Georgia the number one state for small business.
Milton J. Little Jr. became the first African American president of United Way of Greater Atlanta in 2007 and has since established himself as one of the nation’s most respected nonprofit executives. Over his career, he has helped raise over a billion dollars to strengthen communities nationwide. Under his leadership, United Way of Greater Atlanta launched the Child Well-Being Movement, which aims to improve the well-being of children, families, and communities. The movement includes the nation's only Child Well-Being Index, which measures child well-being down to the census tract level. This index was crucial in March 2020 when UWGA and the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta created the Greater Atlanta COVID-19 Response and Recovery Fund, raising over $25 million to support 320 nonprofits.
Little graduated magna cum laude from Morehouse College with a B.A. in sociology and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He earned an M.A. degree in urban sociology and social policy from Columbia University. He is a native New Yorker and is married to Shana Davis Little. He has one daughter, two sons, and three grandchildren.
Sherrie Miller is the SVP, Business Development at ID Logistics US, where she has overseen several years of exponential growth within the US by delivering exceptional value to new and existing customers. Within the US, ID Logistics has experienced year-over-year double digit growth, including 31.8% YOY revenue growth in the first half of 2025.
Sherrie began her career in logistics in 2008 and has worked in leadership roles at various other multi-national third-party logistics providers, who relied on her multi-disciplinary expertise in sales, finance, marketing, and strategic planning to grow their brands both domestically and globally.
In addition to her passion for supply chain management, Sherrie is equally passionate about her alma mater – Clayton State University, where she received her BS in Integrated Studies – Management Information Systems and a BBA in Management, as well as an MBA in Supply Chain & Logistics. She is dedicated to giving back to the Clayton State community by serving as a member of the CSU Trustee Board and has been a member of the CSU College of Business Advisory Board since 2018, which she chairs.
