Institutional Research Request Data

The Office of Institutional Research is responsible for consistent, accurate, and timely official reporting of Clayton State institutional information. Most general information can be found in the Fact Book, but our office can also provide more extensive information for projects including, but not limited to:

  • strategic planning
  • departmental planning
  • accreditation
  • grant proposals

While we encourage you to discuss your data needs with us, requests will only be processed if they are received in writing via email to IR@clayton.edu. Please be sure to include the following in your request:

  • The specific information/data analysis you need. What is the question the data should answer? Please be as specific as possible to avoid ambiguity. For example, asking for student data from 2011 could mean all undergraduate students SAT scores for Fall 2011 or all graduate male student majors for the 2011 fiscal year.
  • The semesters/years the data are needed.
  • The reason for your request. How will this information be used? Is it for departmental planning purposes? Is it for a grant? If so, tell us a bit about it.
  • The deadline. When do you need this information? Please allow a minimum of five (5) business days (or depending on the nature of the request, as long as a month) for your request to be processed.

After your request is received, it will be reviewed by our staff. If additional information is needed, we will contact you via email or phone.

If you have any questions, please feel free to send us an email (IR@clayton.edu), give us a call (678-466-4100), or stop by to visit us (University Center 222).
