ecoText demonstration

This demonstartion is geared towards faculty and will introduce a product that supports and facilitates the use of Open Educational Resources in their classes.

ecoText is a collaborative learning platform containing 75,000 Open Educational Resources from repositories such as Merlot and OpenStax. It enables users to access OER material from a single platform. OER resources can be located via the ecoText search engine. The product allows users to create notes, annotations, and share and participate in discussions with other users. Faculty have the ability to upload their own materials as well as create course-reading lists. ecoText provides faculty with insights into how their classes interact with the material and measures student engagement by compiling statistics on resource usage as well as the number of notes, annotations, bookmarks, and highlights their students have created.

Although the library is currently unable to purchase this product, we are offering a demo of ecoText and would welcome faculty feedback.
