The Social Sciences Department has organized a virtual roundtable to be held this Friday (2/11) from 1 pm to 3 pm concerning Russia and Ukraine. The roundtable consists of a moderated presentation by five scholars with a connection to the region followed by a question-and-answer session.

Topics to be discussed include the following:
  • Russia and Ukraine: A Historical Perspective
  • The Putin Doctrine: Maintaining Spheres of Influence Despite an Expanding NATO
  • U.S. and NATO Responses to Russian Mobilization
  • The Role of Transnistria in the Russia-Ukraine Conflict
  • Pipeline Politics: The Energy Connection
