Mission Statement

The mission of Laker Angels is to organize Clayton State University staff and faculty volunteers to provide compassionate, confidential support to fellow employees and their families during times of personal need. Through coordinated acts of service, resources, and care, Laker Angels fosters a culture of community, empathy, and support across the university.

Getting Help

If you are a CSU employee or know a CSU employee who is in need of support (food, supplies, financial, or other additional support) please complete a Request for Assistance Form. Requests can be kept confidential if that is your preference.

Examples of Laker Angel Support

Laker Angels have provided resources for CSU employees experiencing an unexpected situation causing food insecurity and financial hardship.
Laker Angels have provided resources (food or financial) and services (i.e., housecleaning, transportation, yard service, etc.) for CSU employees recovering from an illness or health crisis or who have a family member in the hospital, a death in the family or recently had a baby.

How to Support the Laker Angels Mission

Join our team! Complete the Membership Request and you will receive an invitation to our next meeting. When there is a request for assistance, you can decide if and how you want to help. You are not obligated to respond to every request because we work as a team.
Donate to Laker Angels! You can contribute through the CSU staff/faculty fund drive by designating your contribution for the Laker Angels. You can also make a donation at any time using the Give Now form from University Advancement. PLEASE NOTE: Laker Angels is not listed on the form's drop-down menu. Select "other not listed" on the drop-down menu and type Laker Angels in the box below the giving list. Donations to the Laker Angel Foundation account do not automatically add you to the mailing list.
