Your Campus Bookstore
Managed by Barnes & Noble
The Loch Shop offers textbooks and course materials required for your courses along with a great selection of technology, school supplies, gifts, and Clayton State apparel.
Much of your success as a student depends on having the right textbooks and course materials. The Loch Shop works closely with your professors to ensure we have the most current materials needed for your classes. We also work hard to find the most affordable options, including used textbooks, rentals, and electronic options.
BookStore Bucks | Summer 2023
The Loch Shop also offers Bookstore Bucks at the beginning of each semester. Bookstore Bucks allow you to take advantage of unused Financial Aid to get what you need before receiving your Financial Aid Refund. Bookstore Bucks are available for in-store and online purchases. You will need a LakerCard to complete your purchase.
To authorize use of your Financial Aid for Bookstore Bucks, log into the DUCK and follow the prompts. View more information about Bookstore Bucks.
Bookstore Bucks can be used for:
- Course materials
- MARTA passes
- Meal plans
- Anything the Loch Shop and Loch's Nest sells
Request Additional Bookstore Bucks
Do you need additional Bookstore Bucks from your pre-approved Financial Aid? If so, you can have up to $1,000 of additional Bookstore Bucks moved to your LakerCard to purchase a laptop or anything else you might need from the Loch Shop. Next availability: Summer 2023
Click here to submit your request during the dates above.
*Note: You must have pre-approved aid available on your student account. This is NOT an application for additional aid to be awarded. You must also have authorized the use of Financial Aid for Bookstore Bucks (see Bookstore Bucks section above). Authorization and transfer of laptop funds takes about an hour, and you can check the status of your approval online. Details for submitting your request and monitoring the status are available on the Additional Bookstore Bucks Request page.

New Student Orientation
We are excited you are starting your academic journey at Clayton State University and are here to help you get better acquainted with our campus community and prepare for your first semester here.
We will now have TWO locations for Dual Enrollment Days:
- Main Campus for students attending classes at the Morrow campus and Henry County campus.
- CSU-Fayette for students attending classes at our Fayette County location*.
In order to pick up loaned books, the student must present their LakerCard, and a signed DE loan agreement (see link below) must be provided at the time of checkout (students under 18 must bring the form signed by a parent or guardian).
While textbooks and e-books (access codes) are covered under the Dual Enrollment program, supplemental materials like lab supplies and other non-book materials are not, so students/parents should be prepared to pay for these items.
Please note that Dual Enrollment books are loaned and must be returned at the end of each semester. Destroying, damaging, or not returning books may result in a non-returned book fee and/or a transferable credit hold being placed on your account.
