Entrance Loan Counseling

The Department of Education requires all borrowers to complete online Direct Loan Entrance Counseling for each school you attend in order to receive student loans. You must complete Loan Entrance Counseling if:

1. You are a first time borrower at Clayton State and you are required to complete Direct Loan Entrance Counseling.
2. You previously completed an older version of student loan entrance counseling under the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) and have not completed the online Direct Loan Student Loan Entrance Counseling here.

Be sure to complete Student Loan Entrance Counseling NOT Financial Aid Awareness Counseling.

Access the online session. Once you have successfully completed the entrance loan counseling session, the Department of Education will send Clayton State University an email with your results within 48 hours of your completion.

You can access your loan history, loan balance, lender and guarantor information online though The Federal Student Aid Website.
