Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science and Master of Science in Cyber Technology (MSCT)

The Combined BSCS-MSCT Program is an accelerated program that allows students to earn both a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) and a Master of Science in Cyber Technology (MSCT) in 5 years. It is also called a 4 + 1 program offering significant cost savings, accelerated career entry, and the ability to double-count graduate credits toward undergraduate requirements.

Graduate of this program will be able to:

1. Solve complex and significant problems with professional skill by formulating efficient and effective algorithmic solutions to a wide variety of sophisticated problems normally encountered in computing and in academe
2. Express algorithms clearly and correctly in a variety of programming languages
3. Apply core concepts in computer science
4. Apply professional and ethical standards to computing related disciplines
5. Collaborate in teams to accomplish common goals
6. Demonstrate an ability to acquire, interpret, and communicate results orally or in writing
7. Secure data using current software and hardware tools and respond to threats that occur over the internet
8. Design and implement risk analysis, security policies, and damage assessment
9. Plan, implement, and audit operating systems' security in a networked, multi-platform and cross platform environment
10. Provide contingency operations like administrative planning for incident response, disaster recovery, or business continuity planning within information security
