CSU Perks with your Retiree LakerCard
Retirees are eligible to receive a LakerCard, which will identify you as a Clayton State University Retiree and allow you additional privileges. To receive your card, go to the Laker Office in the University Center to trade in your old LakerCard for a retiree version. You will be photographed and issued a card. Upon receipt of the card you may access the benefits described below by showing the card.
Your Retiree LakerCard entitles you and a guest to free admission to all CSU sporting events.
With your Retiree LakerCard you are eligible for free parking on campus. Retirees can obtain a campus parking permit by presenting their LakerCard and license number to the Office of Public Safety. You will need to obtain a new parking permit at the beginning of each fiscal year.
As a retiree you are eligible to participate in Continuing Education courses on a space available basis, at the discounted staff fee. You are responsible for the purchase of any required texts, materials and supplies. To participate in a course go to the Continuing Education web site and fill out a Staff Development Form. Indicate "Retiree" as your Department and send the form to the Department of Human Resources for verification of your eligibility. The Department of Human Resources will forward your Form to the Continuing Education Program.
The Retiree LakerCard entitles retirees to the same membership rates and privileges as active CSU employees.
Retirees are eligible to maintain an email account through the CSU email system. The Department of Human Resources will make arrangements for this service if you would like to utilize it. You should be aware of certain changes that occur when your active employee email account is converted to a retiree email account. Specifically:
- The email account is moved to the Retirees organizational unit
- All group/distribution list membership outside of Retirees is removed
- The mailbox storage limit is reduced to 25 MB
- Every 30 days the mailbox is automatically cleared of items more than 30 days old.
If you do not currently have access to a Clayton State email account and you would now like to establish one, please contact the Department of Human Resources at (678) 466-4230. More information on email accounts can be found at Hub Information for Retirees.
Retirees are eligible to utilize the Clayton State library and its associated statewide databases and lending library service. The Retiree LakerCard will give you access to these services.
The Retiree LakerCard entitles you to purchase admission tickets at the active employee purchase price.
