MORROW, Ga – Clayton State University student Michelle York, has been selected for the 2016 Academic Recognition Day award. The College of Business student was among five students from the University who were nominated for the award from the Board of Regents.
Nominees for the honor included: Abigail Jenkins and Azher Khan from the College of Arts & Sciences, Kerstin Taylor from the College of Information and Mathematical Sciences, and Ralph Welwean from the College of Health. Students nominated for the award have to be an undergraduate student, a Georgia resident, and have a 4.0 GPA or close to it.
In March, a special luncheon was held to honor this year’s recipient at the University System of Georgia’s (USG) Office. Each school under the USG has a representative who is recognized at the event.
