The Department of Campus Life is excited to extend invitations into the National Society of Leadership and Success! Invitations are sent to students based on classification and grade point average.
Society membership provides students with the professional leadership training to gain a competitive edge in the employment market. In a national survey, 92% of Society members transitioning into careers landed the job of their choice upon graduating, and 86% attributed their success to the Society’s program. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity, as Society members are nearly four times more likely than other students to land the job of their choice. (National survey results compared to 24 percent of U.S. college graduates as reported in the New York Times).
The National Society of Leadership and Success is one of the largest college leadership honor societies in the United States with hundreds of chapters. Membership gives students lifetime access to benefits including over $100,000 annually in awards and scholarships, leadership certification (a valuable asset on your resume), exclusive events on campus (offering opportunities to develop leadership skills and gain experience setting and achieving goals), employer recruitment, an exclusive online job bank, networking with other top students on campus, and discounts that can save you hundreds of dollars on computers, textbooks, grad school prep courses, and car insurance.
In a 2011 national survey of Society members:
At the induction ceremony, students will take their place among the top student leaders on campus and will have the right to list Society affiliation on all statements of personal accomplishment, including on the resume. In addition, all inducted members receive National Leadership Certification and personalized letters of recommendation to submit to all prospective employers. A full list of our membership benefits for pre-inducted and post-inducted members can be found here: http://societyleadership.org/memberinfo/benefits.php
There is a one-time fee of $85.00 for membership. Membership does not expire or need renewing, as it is a lifetime membership.
