Everything you ever wanted to know about the unique people, places, and things that make up Clayton State University can now be heard on the University’s new podcast, Laker Lounge.
Clayton State’s Marketing and Communication office, along with the Office of Alumni and Annual Giving Programs, have partnered to produce a podcast to bring listeners a new perspective about Clayton State’s impact in the community.
“We are really excited to bring more stories to our alumni. Listeners can expect to hear about what is affecting Atlanta and our surrounding community, the State of Georgia, as well as the nation – all with a Clayton State spin. Alumni will be able to put down their headphones after each episode feeling closer to their alma mater," said Michael Little, Associate Director of Alumni Engagement.
The first show kicks off Sept. 6 featuring LaCrisha Burton Saba, a 2014 Clayton State alumna and a former Mrs. Georgia America. Saba will discuss life in pageantry and how competing helped bring greater awareness about her nonprofit that helps homeless individuals in Atlanta.
Other upcoming podcasts include a talk with a Clayton State graduate who has gained national recognition for turning around failing schools, in addition to a discussion with a political science professor and an alum who is the president of a Georgia-based advocacy organization about the November elections.
