The Clayton State University Veterans Resource Center, in collaboration with the Clayton State Student Veterans Association will host a Veterans Day ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
The event will be held at the Lawson Amphitheater on campus from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. The keynote speaker will be Clayton State University Assistant Professor of History Dr. David Gilbert, a veteran of the United States Navy.
Immediately following the ceremony, National Roll Call will begin as the names of Georgia’s fallen service members from Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom will be read aloud. The event will conclude with a National Moment of Silence at 2 p.m.
All Clayton State faculty, staff and students who have served or who are currently serving in the U.S. military have been asked to submit photos and bios for the University's Veterans Day Wall of Recognition. The wall will be on display in the James M. Baker University Center on Veterans Day
