The College of Arts and Sciences is hosting a study abroad/community service learning trip to Jamaica, from May 29, 2013 to June 20, 2013.
Dr. Rafik Mohamed, chair of the Department of Social Sciences, will lead the trip and says he’s happy to invite a few more students to participate. The cost is $2000 (plus course tuition and airfare) and includes; all housing in Jamaica at beautiful Silver Sands (http://www.mysilversands.com/content/home.aspx
), ground transportation in Jamaica, cultural tours, and admission to great houses.
Students can earn up to six hours of academic credit in the following areas; Sociology, African-American Studies, Political Science, or Environmental Science (for core area D2 credit).
