A section of Clayton State Boulevard, the main entrance to Clayton State University, will be closed from 3 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Apr. 6, for the filming of a motion picture.
Clayton State Boulevard will be closed to all traffic in both directions from the North Lee Street intersection to the Weltner Drive intersection (the four-way stop that is also the south entrance to the Laker Hall parking lot) during that time.
Individuals wishing to access the campus to the west of Swan Lake on Apr. 6, that is; the Student Activities Center, the Athletics Center, Spivey Hall, the Music Education Building and the Harry S. Downs Center, should enter the campus via the south entrance, Simpson Drive, off of North Lee Street.
Individuals wishing to access the main part of campus to the east of Swan Lake; Laker Hall, the Baker Center, Facilities Management, Edgewater Hall and the rest of the academic buildings, should enter the campus via the north entrance, Caldwell Drive, also off of North Lee Street.
Access to Clayton State – East and Clayton Station will not be effected. However, there will also be filming on the Clayton State tennis courts from 2 p.m. until sunset (around 8 p.m.), so expect additional congestion and reduced parking in that area on Apr. 6. ADA parking by the Student Activities Center will be open, although a brief detour will be needed to access that parking. In case of rain, the tennis court shots will be filmed on Barfield Court in the Athletics Center from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
