Maybe scientists can’t find the Loch Ness Monster in Scotland’s Loch Ness, even if it isn’t due to a geologic fault
, but Clayton State University’s mascot, Loch, was recently seen halfway around the world, on the Great Wall of China. Loch was visiting the Great Wall, just outside of Beijing, last week as an emissary of Clayton State’s The Loch Shop
where, in fact, Loch himself (itself?) can be purchased. Loch, who is also well-known for having appeared in the Clayton State Lakers’ women’s basketball team’s “Harlem Shake video
, is currently travelling with Clayton State student Maggie Shiffert to Beijing and Chengdu as part of a National Security Language Initiative for Youth (NSLI-Y) scholarship to study in the People’s Republic of Chinafor the summer of 2013.More photos of Loch will be forthcoming, as he (it?) is expected to visit the Chengdu Panda Base later this month.
