The Clayton State University Visiting Writers Reading Series is opening its Spring 2012 program with Glen Retief, author of “The Jack Bank,” his memoir of a South African childhood.
The event will take place in the Atrium of the Harry S. Downs Center, starting at 7 p.m., and will consist of a reading followed by Q&A and book signing. The event is free to the public and is sponsored by the Clayton State College of Arts & Sciences and the Department of English and is under the direction of Dr. Brigitte Byrd, associate professor of English. Light refreshments will be served.
Retief is a South African writer living in central Pennsylvania. He writes fiction, memoir, literary journalism, and personal essays, and he teaches at the Writers’ Institute at Susquehanna University go to http://glenretief.com/
