Clayton State University earned two awards for its publication, The Laker Connection. The University won a Silver Award for the Volume 12 Issue 1 edition of the magazine featuring the supply chain program, and a Merit Award for the Volume 12 Issue 2 edition of the magazine featuring artificial intelligence.
The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest, oldest, and most respected educational advertising awards competition in the country. This year, over 2,250 entries were received from more than 1,000 colleges, universities, and secondary schools from all fifty states and several foreign countries.
The Laker Connection magazine is produced by Clayton State University’s Office of Marketing and Communications. Maritza E. Ferreira serves as editor-in-chief, Kelly Petty serves as managing editor, Erin Fender serves as production editor and photo editor. The layout was designed by Haute Couture Media. The magazine is done in in collaboration with alumni relations, development, athletics, and student and guest contributors.
Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report.
