Clayton State University’s Gold Key International Honour Society Chapter held their induction ceremony on Nov. 30, 2010, in the ballrooms of the Student Activity Center.
Clayton State’s chapter inducted 40 new sophomore members and 68 new junior members. Also honored were five new graduate members, Bill Furtner (Fayetteville), Corina Gill (Loganville), Marcus Johnson (Stone Mountain), Ainsley Stelling (Newnan), and Talia Thornton (Atlanta).
In addition to the new students inducted, the chapter inducted five honorary members from the Clayton State administration and faculty: President Dr. Thomas J. “Tim” Hynes, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Dr. Micheal Crafton, Interim Vice President of Enrollment Services Dr. Mark Daddona, Associate Vice President of Student Affairs Dr. Elaine Manglitz and Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Dr. John Campbell.
Golden Key International Honour Society is the world’s premier collegiate honor society, with nearly two million members from more than 190 countries who have been recognized at more than 375 chapters at colleges and universities. The Clayton State chapter’s advisors are Jeff Jacobs, associate dean of Students, and Barbre Berris, assistant director, Orientation & New Student Programs.
