The Clayton State University Department of Teacher Education will open its Spring 2013 Education Speaker Series in February with two presentations.
On Thursday, Feb. 21, the Clayton State Departments of English, Interdisciplinary Studies and Teacher Education will present: A Literary Discussion of Ernest Gaines' “A Lesson Before Dying.” The discussion, which is free and open to the public, will be held in room G101 of the Clayton State Arts & Sciences Building, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 3:35 p.m. to 4:50 p.m., Georgia State University’s Dr. Brian Williams will present , “Urban Education and the Impact on African-American Children,” in room
B11of the Clayton State Lecture Hall. This presentation is also free and open to the public.
Future presentation topics in the series will include international teachers, a young adults authors panel and a charter schools panel.
