Library Rush Processing

Clayton State students, faculty or staff may request rush processing for materials that have been received but are not yet on the shelf. These materials appear in the Catalog with the following location: Cataloging Department.

For example, this display indicates a title that can be requested:

sample catalog record for rush processing

Rush processing can be requested both for materials needed for instructional support as well as those desired for personal interests. If at all possible, materials will be available within 2 working days of the receipt of the request for rush processing. The faculty member or student will be notified as soon as the item is cataloged, processed, and available for check out.

If the requested title is not available for rush processing, the individual making the request will be referred to GIL Express or Interlibrary Loan.
