B.A. in English Online

B.A. English 100% Online

The B.A. in English (literature or writing concentration) can be completed 100% online. The online degree’s curriculum is the same as the seated degree. Courses are rotated in the schedule between being offered in a seated forum and an online forum.

CORE:

The Department of English offers all of its required English Core classes online every semester. You can take the other required Core classes either online through Clayton State or through the ecore program. Your advisor will help you with the decision of which Core classes to take online through Clayton State and which to take online through ecore.

ENGLISH MAJOR:

The following four courses are required for both concentrations:

ENGL 3100               Introduction to Literary Studies (offered every semester, online in spring)

ENGL 3110               Introduction to Writing Studies (offered every semester, online in fall)

ENGL 4011               Critical Theory (offered every fall, rotated between online and seated)

ENGL 4950               Senior Capstone (offered every spring, rotated between online and seated)

Electives for both concentrations are available every semester for the online degree.

Your advisor and the dept. chair will work with you regarding the courses you need to complete the major/concentration and when those courses will be offered online. If you need a course to graduate and it has not been offered in an online format, please contact your advisor and the dept. chair—the course will be made available to you.
