Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

A special word about sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking:

CAPS is committed to providing safe and supportive spaces to students who have experienced sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking.  It is important for students in these situations to find a trusted confidant and a safe space where he or she can share his or her story.  At CSU, this space is Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS.)

 Disclosures made to CAPS staff will be held in strict confidence.  CAPS counselors are considered to be privileged and confidential resources and as such, are neither required nor permitted to provide any information regarding an incident of sexual assault or relationship violence to any outside party without the consent of the student involved in the incident.
