Alternative Break Program

Alternative Break Service Trips

The Alternative Break Program is an opportunity for students to engage in community-based projects during Clayton State University’s Winter, Spring, and Summer Breaks. This program was developed to help foster an understanding and appreciation of the issues people of various communities encounter daily. Clayton State Students are able to immerse themselves in a community different than their own by traveling to another location during their break and living and working in the community that the students will be partnering with. Students return from the experience with a deeper understanding of volunteerism, community service, activism, and a greater appreciation for diverse populations. The mission of all Clayton State University’s Service Learning programs is to serve as a catalyst to move students on a continuum from being a part of a community to becoming community change agents.

More information will be available soon regarding Alternative Break Trips and Activities.
