Refunds are processed 14 days after financial aid disbursements post or when any additional payments posts to your student account that creates an over-payment, shown as a credit balance, on your account. All students are not awarded financial aid or have credits post at the same time; so refunds are processed throughout the semester based on the 14th day rule. This is a federal requirement by the Department of Education. Refund processing excludes accounts that have withdrawal activity or enrollment changes, like no shows. All refunds are posted to Bank Mobile. Please ensure your Bank Mobile account and preference have been set up.
Can I pick-up my refund?
Refunds are delivered to students via BankMobile according to your refund preference you chose at refundselection.com. We use a third party service who will allow you to choose the delivery of your refund. Go to bankmobiledisbursements.com/how-it-works/ for more information.
Can you tell me how much my refund is for?
You should be able to view your account information on the Duck. We cannot give this information over the phone.
When will I get my refund?
The refund will be sent to BankMobile after the no show reporting period ends and financial aid is posted and made available on your account. We are in compliance with federal regulations.
If I have several different, combined awards will I receive a refund for each award or will they be combined?
If everything is on your account when we run the process to create a refund file, all your awards will be paid to you by the method you choose with BankMobile.
Why does it take so long to process my refund?
The Bursar's Office works very hard to ensure you that you get your refund within the federal guidelines set forth. Due to the volume of refunds we are processing at that time of the term, we must go through a series of checks and balances before we can release the refund file to BankMobile. Go to refundselection.com to review and choose your refund option.
I have a situation and I need my money. Is there something I can do to get it sooner?
Refund files are sent to BankMobile as soon as we are certain all compliance standards and guidelines have been met.
I received notice from the lender that my disbursement date was Monday, today is Friday and I still have not received it. What is the problem? I need my money!
The disbursement date is the date that the lender transfers the money to the school's bank. Once you are determined to be eligible, and your aid is posted to your student account by the financial aid office, the Bursar's Office then has 14 days after the posting date to send a file to BankMobile.
