New Student Orientation

Orientation for June, July and August 2020 will be held online.

For the safety of our students and staff, all campus events have been suspended until further notice. Therefore, we will provide orientation online for new students! The session will be live and we will provide more details in the upcoming weeks. We know there are many questions regarding this change and we would like to answer the most frequently asked questions.

  1. Will I still be able to register for classes?
Yes! Although orientation is being conducted online, you will receive communication from your academic advisor and be registered for your classes.
  2. Will there be a refund of fees?
If you paid for a guest, you will receive a refund of those guest fees. The orientation registration fee is non-refundable, as it covers the costs for materials and Online Orientation. For Freshman students, the orientation fees cover on-campus Welcome Week (August 3-8) activities, including Convocation. We anticipate hosting on-campus events, as scheduled. Orientation materials include: orientation string bag, student gift, CSU Resource Guide, and departmental forms. You may pick up your materials in person once the campus reopens. We are located on the second floor of Edgewater Hall, Suite 218 – Admissions Welcome Center.
  3. Will there be an opportunity for me to visit campus before classes start?
Our campus is closed until further notice. When our campus reopens, you will be able to schedule a campus tour.
  4. If the campus is still closed when classes are scheduled to start, will classes be delayed?
We are committed to your educational goals! In the event that Fall 2020 course offerings are shifted to an online format, students will be notified in time to prepare.
