Advisory Groups

The President receives recommendations for improving academic standards at Clayton State University through a number of advisory bodies.

The Staff Council serves as a voice for Clayton State University staff members, providing support, engagement opportunities, and offering resource assistance to employees.

The Faculty Senate serves as the legislative body and executive agency of the general faculty at Clayton State University. The Senate provides recommendations on academic policy, in addition to formulating policies and reviewing procedures regarding strategic planning, mission development, academic initiatives, setting budget priorities, organizational restructuring, student life, and the overall learning environment. 

The Planning and Budget Advisory Council ensures that resources related to Clayton State University’s strategic plan and goals are allocated strategically. The Council develops the annual budget plan for recommendation to the President based on input received from all University departments through the strategic planning process.
