Clayton State University Turns 50!
In 1969, Clayton Junior College opened its doors to 942 eager, young minds with a promise to provide quality higher education to the southern region of metro Atlanta.
50 years later, the institution has evolved into a university that has not only made dreams real for its students but has also played a tremendous role in transforming the region into a thriving suburban community that is rapidly becoming a major driver for economic development in the Southern Crescent.
This year of celebration will include a host of programs and events to engage our students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters as we reflect on our past and look toward a promising future.
