Clayton State University recognized the need to provide safe and affordable housing for students in the mid-2000s. In 2007, the Board of Regents approved the University to build its first residence hall to open for the Fall 2008 semester. To celebrate the tenth-year anniversary and success of Laker Hall, Residence Life is throwing a party after freshman students move in! This event is a great opportunity to meet other new students and socialize with the RA's and Housing Staff.
Pillow Talk: College Edition

There are many different situations that are related to our feelings of stress and anxiety. Pillow talk creates a space for students to discuss worries or concerns they may have about beginning college and learn about tools and resources available to help them. Topics discussed will include: Adjusting to College, Being Homesick, How to manage time freedom, and we will also identify ways to manage stress. Relaxing real talk event. Wear your PJs! Tickets to the Relaxation Room will be given out!!

New Student Convocation
The event formally welcomes new students into the Clayton State community. Our campus president, Dr. Thomas J. "Tim" Hynes, Jr., will offer encouraging words to students as they embark on their transition into college life. A brunch reception will immediately follow the ceremony.
