Created in 2013, T.R.U.S.T. was developed as part of the new Corporate Communications minor at Clayton State University in Morrow, Georgia. We are housed within the Communication and Media Studies program that resides within the department of Visual and Performing Arts.
During their study in introductory courses (Introduction to Advertising and Introduction to P.R.), students become part of a designated Talent Team that includes the following positions:
Students also work together in Client Crews, to serve the needs of either on-campus or off-campus clients. TRUST is a mutually rewarding experience for students and clients alike.
In the advanced Public Relations course, students work as independent consultants: a single-person client service and creative professional, learning about communication management, and building relevant tactics to serve the client needs and reach targeted audiences.
Through each experience working in TRUST, students learn about the real world of the persuasion industries, through experiential learning. Clients benefit from having their organizations and events publicized through strategic efforts designed by upcoming professionals.
