…The most comforting element in attending the conferences for me has constantly been grounded in the degree of confidence and assurance I have had in the training and preparations undertaken by our advisor to bring us as a team to the point of the official rapping of the gavel to start formal sessions….
…Specifically, I was the head delegate and senior member in experience and, as such, was an adequately prepared delegate and positioned to enhance the experiences of the up and coming team members. Drawing attention to an elevated assurance, it was expected that I was able and capable to assist in directing the efforts of team members, much the same as others had provided insight, guidance and support to me….
…The actual conference experience allows an individual to look at the world through a perspective that broadens their horizons, their knowledge and their worldview. As a result of attendance at three Model UN conferences now, I have been enlightened and experienced positive life changes. These conferences have brought invaluable enhancements to my life perspective that will continue to have positive and real influence in shaping, molding and constructing the person I am, my views about my community and and my service to others in a profound and positive way.….
…We literally sat at the negotiating table of an official United Nations representative of Mali, who was privileged to historical facts, insights, and the most current information on a diverse range of humanitarian issues relating to peace and security of the Republic of Mali. It was as if we were students sitting at the feet of the schoolmaster….
…In attending the conference as a team, we were honored to have participated in one of the most academically relevant life experiences offering us undeniable potential for a positive life changing influence to each of our lives….
…What I took away from listening to the speaker in closing ceremonies is that I could feel a genuine attachment and passion radiating from his words. These words made me feel a sense of dignity, responsibility and pride to be a part of an organization shouldering the assumed responsibility of preparing critically important world leaders for tomorrow….
…I encourage any person who likes an academic challenge, is a self-motivated research oriented individual, is able to effectively communicate with different personalities, and possesses the discipline to remain focused on the goals, objectives and desires to broaden worldviews and global perspectives to join the CSU Model UN program….
