The Senate is made up of twenty-six (26) elected representatives from the Student Body. Elections are held in the Fall and each senator serves for the following academic year. Senators are the link to the Student Body by responding to student concerns, via telephone, e-mail or other sources of communication.
Each Senator is required to serve on at least one Committee as appointed by the President and shall also serve a minimum of one hour in the Student Government Office (SAC – 203). Senators are the official hosts of Student Government Events and are expected to be in attendance to all SGA functions.
The Student Government Association (SGA) is made up of elected student representatives who work in an advisory capacity to the Division of Student Affairs and other administrative units to formulate legislation, actions, and policies that positively impact the student population of Clayton State University.
