American Red Cross - Wilderness First Aid
Designed for outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments, this course teaches advanced skills to be used in emergencies when help from professional first responders may be far away. Topics include: primary and secondary assessment, head / brain, neck and spinal Injuries, heat-related emergencies, hypothermia, altitude-related illnesses, allergies and anaphylaxis, burns, bone and joint injuries, wounds and wound infections.
Facilitators teach participants how to make some favorite outdoors foods. Learn techniques and enhance skills in outdoor cooking, for any outdoor adventure.
This workshop offers training in ethics, skills and techniques for the outdoor adventurer. These principles of thought and action are applied directly to various outdoor activities such as backpacking, river travel, climbing, mountain biking, horseback riding, and more.
Fitness for Outdoors
From kayaking to hiking, and rock climbing to backpacking, learn the muscles and stretches needed to be ready for the great outdoors.
These exercises and tools will prepare anyone for their outdoor adventure.
