FREE Group Fitness Classes!
The Department of Rec & Wellness offers around 20 group fitness classes each semester. Classes are FREE to all current Clayton State University students and Fitness Center members. Classes are located in the Group fitness studios on the second floor of the SAC Fitness Center. All classes are instructed by certified group exercise instructors and are categorized into three different formats: cardiovascular/strength, mind/body, and dance. No matter the fitness level, gender, interest, or background, the Group fitness program has a class for everyone. Classes are offered year-round during each academic semester and are scheduled around the class schedule matrix for the University.

Studio Reservation & Usage Guide
Recognized Student Organizations wishing to host fitness/wellness related events should check the Group Fitness & X Factor schedules first and contact firstname.lastname@example.org before submitting events in Astra.

X Factor (Specialty Classes)
Group X also offers a variety of 1 to 4 week specialty and instructional classes through the X Factor program. This program is designed to bring unique fitness-related programs to Clayton State University and promote social and physical well-being among the campus community. X Factor programs are hosted in a variety of different locations including the Group X Studios, Gym Courts, Outdoor Amphitheater, Laker Hall Green, SAC Green, and Laker Hall!
Student Instructors Wanted!
If you are a Clayton State University student and hold a current nationally recognized group exercise or personal training certification (ACSM, AFAA, ACE etc.), please contact email@example.com for more info on becoming a Group X instructor.
