Q. What are Club Sports?
A. The Club Sport program is managed by Clayton State University Department of Recreational & Wellness and offers students competition, instruction, and recreation in both competitive and recreational sports and activities. The program serves as a competitive alternative to intramural sports and intercollegiate athletics by offering team members coaching, league travel, and participation in a variety of tournaments. Each team is comprised of and managed by students and enhances the college experience by allowing students to join a team and compete with their fellow Lakers against other universities
Q. What is difference between Club Sports and IM Sports?
A. Intramural sports are short term, recreational activities that take place on campus and only involve participants from Clayton State University. Club sports are University recognized student organizations that are student-run and student-funded. Typically, these are year-round clubs that compete in intercollegiate competitions on a local, regional, and national scale.
Q. How are Club Sports funded?
A. Typically, yes there is some cost associated with joining a club sports. While the University is able to help financially support the clubs to a limit, this usually does not cover the entire costs of club operations including travel, equipment, officials, and/or league fees. Many clubs charge annual dues, in addition to fundraising and soliciting sponsorships and donations for their expenses. Dues vary depending on the club, and it is solely the decision of individual clubs on how much to charge its members.

A. It varies from club to club and year to year.
Q. Who is eligible?
