The Office of Academic Affairs is responsible for oversight of the academic programs and policies of the university. In that capacity, the office provides a variety of support services to individual colleges, faculty and students, including operation of the university’s academic success center, library, registrar, learning support and other faculty development opportunities, enrollment management, and collaboration on a number of initiatives to improve student success.
Positions reporting to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs are the Assistant Vice President of Academic Planning and Assessment, Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management, Assistant Vice President of Extended Programs, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Dean of the College of Business, Dean of the College of Health, Dean of the College of Information and Mathematical Sciences, Dean of Graduate Studies. The Director of the Institutional Research also reports to the Provost.
The office also serves as the point of contact for external constituents on issues related to academic affairs such as the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and other accrediting bodies.
