The Office of International
Education promotes, coordinates, sponsors, and directs all international
education programs for students, faculty members, and the larger community.
The Office of International Programs recruits students for study abroad
programs, advises and provides assistance to international students, assists
faculty members to internationalize the curriculum, initiates and implements
international faculty development programs, helps academic departments to
develop overseas field experiences, recruits faculty to teach in study
abroad programs, assists faculty in the development of study abroad
programs, promotes and directs student exchange programs, and raises funds
for faculty development and student scholarship programs.
II. Statement of Long-Range Goals
(3-5 years)
1. Continue
to increase student and faculty participation in Study Abroad programs
especially in programs beyond Arts & Sciences.
2. Expand
Clayton State University operated Study Abroad programs and expand Clayton
State University participation in the collaborative programs operated by the
USG World Regional Councils.
3. Continue
to increase the participation of Clayton State University faculty in
teaching/hosting study abroad programs.
4. Expand
the infrastructure of the program by increasing support for the Director of
OIE and expanding clerical support.
