Both tracks of the BSN program and the RN-MSN program require that students complete all of core curriculum prior to program enrollment. Those students who graduated with a baccalaureate degree or from a University System of Georgia institution with appropriate associate degree may qualify for core exemption. Consult an advisor in the School of Nursing to determine if you qualify.
AREA A –Essential Skills (9 hours)
AREA B –Critical Thinking and Communication (4-5 hours)
AREA C –Humanities (6 hours)
AREA D –Natural Sciences, Mathematics, Technology (10-11 hours)
AREA E - Social Sciences (12 hours)
Students with alternate transfer credit should consult an advisor in the School of Nursing to determine applicability. Students pursuing eCore* (http://ecore.clayton.edu) which offers the first two years of college core courses completely online should consult an advisor in the School of Nursing to develop individual plan to study. Peachtree City Students—as natural science coursework is unavailable at satellite locations anticipate that degree completion will extend beyond four-year program progression.
