Clayton State University’s The Loch Shop is preparing for a classic… The Loch Shop Soccer Classic, that is.
The Clayton State men’s soccer team will be opening their 2012 season with The Loch Shop Soccer Classic on Aug. 31, taking on the Pfeiffer University Falcons in a 7:30 p.m. game at Laker Field. And, as the sponsor of The Loch Shop Classic, Clayton State’s “college store” has a big week planned leading up to the seventh annual tournament that will kick off the 2012/13 athletic season at Clayton State.
For the entire week of Aug. 27, The Loch Shop will be offering daily specials with significant savings on Clayton State gear in the Loch Shop proper, located on the first floor of the Clayton State Student Center. In addition, The Loch Shop will also be setting up its Popup Spirit Shop on Wednesday and Thursday prior to the game, in the Clayton State Quad and/or on Main Street in the James M. Baker University Center. The occasion, in addition to The Loch Shop Classic, is College Colors Day, which will be celebrated nationwide on Aug. 31.
Here are the details of The Loch Shop sales for the coming week:
Monday, Aug. 27: BOGO sweatshirts (Buy One, Get One Half Off)
Tuesday, Aug. 28: BOGO t-shirts (Buy One, Get One Half Off)
Wednesday, Aug. 29: 20 percent off all Clayton State gear
Thursday, Aug. 30: 20 percent off all Clayton State gear
Friday, Aug. 31: Free Loch Shop “Passport to Savings” t-shirt with $25 purchase of regularly-priced merchandise
College Colors Day typically coincides with the kick-off of the intercollegiate athletic season, and seeks to celebrate and promote the traditions and spirit that make the college traditions great by encouraging fans, alumni and students to wear apparel of their favorite college throughout the day. For 2012, that happens to be Friday, Aug. 31. First celebrated in 2005, College Colors Day strives to promote higher education in the United States through increased public awareness and celebrates the achievements of colleges and universities, acknowledging their critical and fundamental importance, a cause The Loch Shop, and manager Todd Smith, heartily endorse.
