On Wednesday, Oct 4, Southern Grace Hospice and Palliative Care held a ceremony of gratitude for the Clayton State School of Nursing students and professors who provided medical relief to Hurricane Irma evacuees.
CSU has also pursued a collaborative partnership with Daejeon Health Sciences University in Daejeon, South Korea, following a trip to the country by Hynes and Dr. Lisa Eichelberger, dean of the College of Health.
May 2015 saw two Clayton State University faculty, eight RN-BSN nursing students, and a physician with a specialty in radiology, travel to the island of La Gonave, Haiti, for the School of Nursing’s annual Haiti Study Abroad program.
A May 2014 graduate of the Clayton State University Master of Science in Nursing program, Colleen Walters is now a faculty member in the Clayton State School of Nursing, and is currently serving her second “tour” as part of the College of Health’s study abroad program in Guadalajara, Mexico.

“I always knew that I wanted to be a nurse, just like my aunt. She graduated from this very school in 1971 with her Associate’s Degree in Nursing.
