MORROW, Ga -- Two big accomplishments for faculty with the School of Nursing.
Charlotte Swint, Assistant Professor of Nursing, has been accepted into the International Nursing Honor Society's Nurse Faculty Leadership Academy (NFLA). The NFLA is an intense leadership program designed to promote leadership development, foster academic success, promote nurse faculty satisfaction and retention rates, and cultivate high performing, supportive work environments in academe.
Congratulations also go out to Clinical Instructor Laura Phillips. She was selected as a Jonas Nurse Leader Scholar for 2016-2018. The Jonas Nurse Leaders Scholar Program was created in 2008 to support educational development of new nursing faculty and stimulate models for joint faculty appointments between schools of nursing and clinical affiliates. The grants also prepare doctoral candidates to help students address the needs of future patients—from dealing with co-morbidities and chronic illnesses to providing culturally competent care.
Laura is currently a student at the University of West Georgia where she is pursuing her EdD in Nursing Education.
